This is something I think is so important that It needs to be discussed and made big. I want everyone on here to read this and think about what it means. If you have stories or you want ot say something reply. I am part of the movement that is helpign to ban child abuse everywhere and we are starting in online communities like this.
Yall this is something I have personalyl seen in my life and had to defend agienst. I was forced down by my ex-girlfriends father and forced to watch as she got abused cause she was a lesbian. The thing thats worst about it is that afterwards they played to me like it was nothing and tried to have me spend the night. And that happened at 12 when me and her both came out.
I have seen in my life some of the worst shit imaginable. I have a two little nieces and a little brother and when i saw that I literally cried and I mean like cried for long enough that my little brother came in and hugged me. I can't even begin to think about what I would do if they were getting abused. This is something in this world that is so FUCKED UP!!!!! That its pathetic in every sence of the word that we don't have people who are out there checking houses for these things.
I want to share with yall a story about another friend of mine and how she nearly died when i was nine. I did not know about this till two years ago and when I heard I nearly killed the parents and I mean as in i took a bat and walked to their house and threatened that if they ever touched her again in anyway I would kill them slowly and painfully and i would make sure they watched echother die.
This is her story.
Her name was Shana and she was born into a very intelligent middle class family. They were very well off and her father, being a medical grad and having a doctorite in medicine (i forget what field) and a masters in human psycology had very high expectations for her. Her mother though was worse. Her mother being a high school drop out who only survived cause she married her father had even more expectations because she didn't want her daughter to turn out like her. This was of course where it started and led up to her being sent to the hospitol at 9 for lasserations to the arms, 5 cracked ribs, and the worst being a punctured lung.
She of course was expected to talk by 2. However some babys dont, My brother didn't till he was three and a half and that was simple sentinces. She however was beaten in the head because she could not speak. Finally she learned at three after she had recieved a concussion. Of course the next task was to read and write. Her parents began to drill her, a lot of the times they would keep her up for days till she would colaps from exhastion. And even after that she was only allowed a few hours of sleep. After one incident her mother actually dislocated her left shoulder and told her that if she did not learn to read and write she would have it taken off.
By the time i met her at age five she had already been through extensive damage to her body. But of course she was expected to be number one even in elementry school, her parents still kept her up for days on end and would starve till she did the work that they thought was appropriate for a 5 year old. Ontop of this a lot of kids would laugh, yell, and sometimes throw stuff at her. I couldnt take this and I protected her, she was and still is my closest friend. Yet she was affraid to tell me till very recently all of this.
By age nine she was abale to read at a 11th grade level, could write essays and do a lot of things that I still cant even do today. But of course this wasn't enough. Her parents told her that she would haft to double her intake or they would kick her out. And she tried as hard as she could. But one night she was caught sleeping at her desk. Her parents kicked her out of her seat, and began to repeatidly beat her with both objects in her room and their feet. She was thrown down the stairs and her mother actually took one of her pencils and stabbed it into her lung.
They thought at first she was faking so they began to beat her more but when they realized that she wasn't they took her to the hospitol. For the next few weeks she was out of class and unable to be contacted. Her parents told the hospital officials that she had gotten beaten up by an older kid in their area. They got off free and removed her from the hospital 3 weeks early. She was again pushed to her limit. And like Tane she spent much time at our house, claiming it was the library.
Finally at the age of 16 she yelled at her parents and left. She moved in with one of my other friends macy and is still living with her. When she told me that story she was crying and so was I. That is the kind of thing I cant even stand.
I believe that what everyone here has said is correct but is also an understatement. When a person is allowed to even hit their child once and hurt them that is too much. I belive in my own personal opinion that there should be a law that says if you even have cause to believe that a child is being abused you are allowed to investigate instantly without evidence. I also believe there should be a law that says the parents who do these kinds of things should have the same thing done to them in the exact same manner to not only show what it is like but to show the torture they put these kids through. This one of those things that shows me the darkest side of man. When a human being especially a mother can abuse a gift, a great and wonderful gift given to her. Something that in effect still confuses scientists today. A mother is capable of giving a soul to a baby, a life outside her own. I can't see how any mother would in their rigth fucking mind considering child abuse even an option. That is something that I personally think should be punished by more then death but a painful torture the likes of which arn't used on humans cause these people who do this cant be human, nor can they ever be considered human in any respect.
